Scene I

Forest. Winter. Trees. Babka Yozhka turns up. Singing a song “Jingle, bells”, wandering among the trees, looking

like a conspirator.

Baba Yaga: Oh, oh! So much snow has fallen out. Freezing hard. (2) Oh, oh, New Year is coming. Everyone gives presents to each other. Oh, I wish someone gave me a present.

Nothing, waiting, waiting, but nothing. And you, children, are you also waiting for presents? Ha, ha, ha, ha! We’ll

see if you get them.

Wolf comes up.

Wolf: How do you do, old lady? Are you still alive?

BY: Yes, alive yet, my dear, what shall I do?

W: Well, if you are still alive, listen to me. Do you want New Year’s presents?

BY: Oh, I want them, my dear wolf, I want them so much!

W: I’ll tell you how to own the whole bag of presents. Mr. Koshchey and I have made up a plan. He looks forward

to getting present. He wants the presents so much that his teeth crack with impatience. And here is the plan. Listen

to me, old Karga. Father Frost is wandering around the forest. He’s got a big sack of presents. He wants to give all

these treasures to some little boys and girls. It won’t happen. As soon as he appears, distract him. I’ll take the bag

and run away.

Scene II

Father Frost appears.

FF: Snow maiden, Au, Au, where is that naughty girl? We are being late for the meeting with our little friends. Oh,

such a heavy sack.

Puts the sack on the ground and sits on the stub. Suddenly he comes across something.
Father Frost: Oh, there is someone else here.

BY: It's not someone, it’s me, Granny Yaga -Bony Leg! I’m very tired and sat down to have some rest. The leg is

prosthetic, by the way!

FF: Hello, Granny! Happy Coming New Year!

Wolf sneaks and steals the sack behind them.

BY: And you, old man, are you bringing presents for children?

FF: Yes, I am.

BY: Ok, come on, come on.

FF: You, old lady, haven’t you seen Snow maiden?

BY: No, I haven’t. Ok, bye, old man. It’s time to wind up my airplane. Step aside or I’ll knock you off.

Father Frost looks around and doesn’t find the sack.

FF: Oh, oh. Where is the sack? Haven’t they stolen it? Baba Yaga couldn’t. It’s unbelievable! There is some plot.

And maybe it’s Koshchey’s tricks. Oh, old fool (2), the sack was stolen and Snow maiden disappeared.

Scene III

Snow maiden is wandering in the forest. And calls:

Snow Maiden: Father Frost (3)

Malvina and Buratino are meeting her. They are singing a song “Jingle, Bells!”

Buratino: Hello, Snow maiden!

Malvina: Hello, Snow maiden!

Snow maiden: Good afternoon, Malvina and Buratino! Have you seen Father Frost?

M: No, we haven’t.

B: Do you want us to help you find him?

S: Please, help us find him! Father Frost is old and can get into trouble. I think it’s Koshchey’s web.

 

Cinderella is walking in the forest. Snow maiden sees Cinderella and and asks her.

S: Cinderella, why are you crying?

Cinderella: My stepmother sent me to the forest to find some snowdrops but it’s impossible in winter.

S: Don’t cry, Cinderella. We’ll ask Father Frost and he’ll help you. But he himself is lost. Come on. Let’s look for

him together.

C: OK

Leaving

Scene IV

A house in the forest. Red Riding Hood is passing by the house and sees that Koshchey, Wolf and Baba Yaga are

dividing presents.

W: Ok, Koshchey, let’s divide presents.

K: One for you and the rest for me.

W: Oh, no. We didn’t have such a deal. What was the deal? 50x50. Half of the sack is mine.

K; What? Are you coming against me? And what if I turn you into a hare? Then you’ll understand how much is

licha’s pound!

W: All right, Koshchey. Agree. There are no ways against you. OK. Forget it!

BY: Dear Koshcheyushko! Maybe you’ll give me some present. I do adore sweets and cakes.

K: Get away, old lady!

BY: Dear Koshcheyushko, don’t be greedy. Give something to an old babushka. I may be at your service.

K: Baba - Yaga, I’ m not greedy at all. This is a present for you.

BY: Thanks a lot, Mr. Kashchey. Live 3 hundred years and three thousand years more.

K: Happy, I’m so happy now. Let Frost cry now.

Red Riding Hood: That’s it. Koshchey, Baba - Yaga and Wolf have stolen presents from the children. Oh, no!

You’ll not see the presents... Runs away.

Snow maiden, Buratino, Malvina and Cinderella turn up. They are completely lost and crying. They sat down on the stubs.

S: The evening is coming and there is no Father Frost, no presents. What shall we do?

RRH: I’m looking for you and you are calmly sitting on stubs. Poor little things. I’ve just seen Koshchey, Wolf and Baba - Yaga. They were dividing presents. I have a plan how to return the presents. But we must find Father Frost at first.

Father Frost appears.

RRH: Well, here he is. Isn’t it a miracle?

FF: Little children, at last I’ve found you. I thought I would never see you.

S: Father Frost! We know everything about presents. Red Riding Hood will help us return them

Scene V

BY: Who is there?

RRH: It’s me, RRH

W: Who (2), Come in (2) I haven’t seen you for a long time. How’s your Granny?

RRH: Not good. She’s ill. Will you visit her? But the hunters are close.

W: And what? When I, grey, was afraid of hunters?

RRH: Well, come on then.

The wolf gets out of the house. FF turns up and claps his hands. The wolf gets frozen and stands still.

FF: This is for you! For your stealing presents!

Then Malvina and Buratino knock on the door.

M&B: Open the door, quicker!

BY: And who else is here? Ba! What strange and wonderful creatures! Who are you, kids?

K: Yes, rather strange persons. Maybe foreigners?

P: And we know you. You are a senior Koshchey, a Russian Karabas Barabas.

M: Senior Koshchey, could you, please, show us the way to the Country of Fools. We have 10 golden coins. If we

dig them in the Country of Fools on New Year’s Eve, then a tree with golden coins will soon grow up.

K: Ah, I see. Sure, sure. Come on, kids, come on, it’s not too far.

I’ll take them to the swamp, and take the gold.

Koshchey and wolf come on the porch.

FF: Ah, and here you are, greedy men.

Father Frost claps his hands and Koshchey and Wolf freeze.

Baba Yaga, having seen it, sat into her airplane and left.

FF: That’s all. All angry men are punished. Happy New Year, friends!

All characters are dancing and singing a song.
