(the author wanted to show that fame is not constant thing, because after death people will forget you, so you should live like ordinary people and to behave well in order people like you, and it’s not so important to be famous, the main thing is that you should be a person)
- What is fame? Can you tell me?
(fame – the state of being famous, the state of being known for having or doing something important)
- Nice. And what is famous?
(being well-known, known by everybody, known widely, having fame)
- And do you know any synonyms?
(well-known, outstanding, notable, noticeable, prominent)
- Nice. And now let’s think what makes someone famous? Work in groups and think.
(- they might do something important,
- they might be good at sport,
- they might have an important job,
- they might invent something important,
- they might be brave)
- And now answer some questions: - Would you like to be famous? Why/why not?
- Do you think fame brings happiness or unhappiness?
- Is the most famous person usually also the most talented?
- What is the quickest and easiest way to become famous?
- Why do people want to become famous?
- How would you feel if one of your parents was famous?
- Thank you for your answers.
