Good morning, boys and girls. Let’s start our lesson.

New Year is coming. We decorate our flats, our school, classrooms and, of course, we decorate the New Year tree. Everything is bright and beautiful. Welcome New Year, welcome, Father Frost!

 

1) I know that you have written letters to Father Frost. Children, come and read your letters. Who wants to be the first?

A Happy Year

I want to give you lots of love
And want to say right here:
Have a nice New Year Day
And then a happy year!

The New Year

December is the best of all.
Snowflakes dance, snowflakes fall.
People see the New Year in.
December ends, New Year begins.

 

New Year Day!

It is winter, it is cold.
Father Frost is very old.
But he’s always full of joy
And glad to give me a nice toy.
New Year Day, happy day!
We are glad and very gay.
We all dance, and sing, and say
“Welcome, welcome, New Year Day!”

 

 

The New Year Tree

The New Year tree so fine and tall
Stands in the centre of the hall.
Its needles are green. Its toys are bright.
Our New Year party is tonight.
Around the fir-tree let us play
Because it is a New Year Day!

Father Frost

Bring many toys

For little girls

And little boys!

 

Spring is green

Summer is bright

Autumn is yellow

3) Do you like riddles? Let’s guess some riddles.

When children ski

And Father Frost brings

The New Year tree. (Winter)

 

6) This is the season when fruit is sweet,

This is the season when school-friends meet. (Autumn)

 

7) This is the season when vegetables grow,

I come to the garden and make water flow. (Summer)

 

8) Birds sing, blue sky is seen.

The trees are green.

The world looks new and gay

Because grey winter’s gone away. (Spring)

 

4) Now it is time for singing our song.
