Урок-путешествие в Великобританию

Цель урока: развитие языковой компетенции учащихся через расширение представления учащихся о географическом положении и достопримечательностях Соединѐнного Королевства.

Задачи:

1.Социокультурный аспект – знакомство с особенностями Великобритании.

2.Развивающий аспект – развитие способности осуществлять продуктивные и речевые действия; развитие творческих способностей школьников, умения анализировать, обобщать, делать выводы.

3.Воспитательный аспект – воспитание уважительного отношения к иноязычной культуре.

4.Учебный аспект – совершенствование умений и навыков практического владения английским языком по теме урока по всем видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, говорению, чтению и письму.

Оборудование: компьютер, экран, мультимедийная установка; упражнения с заданиями, презентация “Знакомство с Великобританией”, выполненная на компьютере с помощью программы для презентаций “Power Point”; фильмы о Великобритании, атрибутика для путешествия (паспорт, билет, виза…)

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

P: Good morning, teacher.

T: Glad to see you. Sit down, please. Who is on duty today? What date is it today?

P: Today is… (date)

T: What is the weather like today?

P: Today is cold, snowy.

T: OK. And now I want to know how you are today. How are you? Let’s start our lesson.

P: We are fine.

T: Look at the table. What is it? It is a bag. What’s there? There is a magic mirror. We have a letter next to mirror: «It helps you to get to Great Britain. Touch it. »

2. What do you know about London, the capital of the UK?

What do you imagine when you think of London?

Correct the sentences, if they are wrong. Say True or False.

3. Today we have some guests at the lesson. We hope that they will be pleased with our answers, with our trip to Great Britain. Dear guests! You are welcome to Great Britain together with us!

Teacher: “And now you’re having a unique chance to talk to the Queen of Great Britain and to learn more interesting facts about the sights of London, the Queen and her family. You should ask her Majesty as many questions as possible and to fill in the table. (В класс заходит королева Великобритании, располагается в удобном кресле и отвечает на вопросы учащихся. Исполнить роль английской королевы предлагается исполнить ученице. Костюм королевы продумывается учителем и учеником заранее. Каждому ученику необходимо раздать карточку-опору для заполнения во время беседы.)

Pupil1: How do you do?

Queen: How do you do!

P1: It’s a great honor for us to talk to you, your Majesty.

P2: Could you, please, tell us something about your official residence in London?

Q: I’ll be glad to.

P1: How many rooms are there in the Palace?

Q: Well, there are 600 rooms, a swimming pool, a cinema, a ballroom and a garden.

P2: It’s very big and famous for the garden parties, isn’t it?

Q: Yes, it is. We usually have three garden parties for about 9000 guests in summer.

P3: Really? But is that your favourite ceremony?

Q: I like parties, but my favourite ceremony is Changing of The Guards.

P7: Do you watch TV?

Q: Yes, I do. I like to watch news on TV in the evening.

P6: And what about morning?

Q: Well, I usually listen to BBC news and look through the Times in the morning.

 

P5: Is London really rich in parks?

Q: Yes, it is.

P7: What is your favourite park in London, your Majesty? And why?

Q: I like Regent’s park most of all, because there is a boating lake and an open air theatre, where people enjoy Shakespeare’s plays in summer.

P8: If I’m not mistaken, all parks in London are free, aren’t they?

Q: Yes, they really are. There are lots of people in parks and gardens of London.

P9: They say that there are a lot of different museums in London, aren’t there?

Q: Yes, there are. There are a lot of different museums in London such as MOMI, Madame Tussaud’s museum, Tower of London, The Science museum, the Victoria and Albert museum, the Natural History museum and so on.

P1: Thank you very much, your Majesty for being so kind and talking to us.

Q: You’re always welcome. Goodbye. (Королева покидает класс).
