Тема: Зимние праздники. Рождество в Британии.

Цель: ознакомление с культурой празднования Рождества в Великобритании

Задачи: 1. формировать словарный запас учащихся по теме и составлять в высказывания с помощью опор;

2. формировать способность и готовность вступать в иноязычное

общение;

3. развивать умение работать с текстом;

4. закреплять построение предложений в Present Continuous;

5. расширять кругозор и творческие способности учащихся;

6. воспитывать уважение к культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Ход урока

  1. Организационный момент.

- Good morning, children! I am glad to see you. Today we`ll speak about winter holidays.

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

  • Look at the screen and repeat after me.

на экране:

  1. Речевая зарядка.

- What is the season today?

- What other seasons do you know?

- What can you do in different seasons?

IV. Аудирование тематических мини-текстов.

 

- Now listen to the tape and say what season Simon and Susan like.

Прослушивание аудиозаписи.

  • What season does Simon like?
  • And what about Susan?
  • What is your favourite season and why? As for me my favourite season is winter because I can skate.

V. Чтение тематического текста и выполнение упражнений.

- Now look at the screen again. What British holiday are these words associated with?

(Christmas)

  • That’s right. Open your books at p 72 ex 68. You have 2 texts about Christmas. The texts are the same but with the missing information. The first variant should read

text A and the second one – text B. Look through the texts and ask each other questions to fill in the missing details. (Первый вариант задает вопросы

другому варианту вопросы по тексту: What present do Londoners get from the people of Norway? What is there in the centre of the capital? What does the British Christmas dinner consist of?)

- Look at the screen and say if the following sentences are true or false. Correct the false

sentences.

- Now look at the pictures in your books. Find the sentences in the text to describe the

pictures. Read them aloud.

VI. Письмо. Выполнение письменного упражнения.

- What are people doing in the pictures? Make up your own sentences using the phrases

оn the screen and write them down into your exercise-books.

- What Grammar tense should you use in yosentences? (Present Continuous)

- That’s right. Now picture №1. (People are taking photos of a Christmas tree.)

- - Picture №2. (People are skating.)

- Picture №3. (British people are singing Christmas songs and carols.)

- Picture №4. (People are decorating the Christmas tree with coloured balls.)

- Picture №5. (People are having Christmas dinner.)

- Good.

VII. Рефлексия. Подведение итогов.

-What holiday do British people сelebrate on the 25th of December? (Christmas)

-Do they enjoy this holiday? (Yes, they do.)

- What grammar tense should we use describing pictures? (Present Соntinuous)

- Well, your marks for the lesson.

VIII. Домашнее задание.

- Now, open your daybooks. Your home task is to write a story about your

favourite holiday.

- Thank you for your activity. The lesson is over. Good-bye.
