Интеллектуальная игра «Big Brain Academy» для учащихся 8-9 классов

1. В игре принимают участие две команды.

2. Право первого хода разыгрывается по жребию, затем команда называет вопрос, на который хочет ответить. В дальнейшем отвечает команда, капитан которой первым поднимает руку.

3. При правильном ответе на вопрос на счет команды поступает соответствующее цене вопроса количество баллов; при неправильном – команда штрафуется на соответствующее количество баллов, а право ответить на этот вопрос переходит к соперникам.

4. В игре встречаются следующие секторы:

- «Счастливый случай» При правильном ответе на вопрос, баллы удваиваются.

- «Несчастный случай». Команда передает право ответа на вопрос одной из команд-соперниц.

- «Вопрос-аукцион». Команда назначает любую цену за вопрос, но не ниже номинальной и не выше суммы баллов, имеющихся на счету команды. Команды-cоперники могут перекупить вопрос, назначив более высокую цену.

5. В последнем раунде команды записывают свои версии ответа на листках и сдают их ведущему.

6. Сумма баллов выбранного вопроса стирается из таблицы.

7. За нарушение дисциплины вычитается по 50 баллов.

 

Тема «Literature». Вопросы:

20 баллов. Who was the author of the poem «Romeo and Juliet»? (William Shakespeare.)

40 баллов. He and his «merry men» lived in Sherwood Forest. (Robin Hood.)

60 баллов. What famous literary traveler left his home in Hill on 1^st of September, 1651, and did not get back home to Yorkshire until 1687?

(Robinson Crusoe)

80 баллов. This author wrote three major novels Sense anв sensibility, Pride anв Justice, Mansfield Park and achieved her success as a published writer. (Jane Austin)

100 баллов. «Несчастный случай». The English writer known as the Queen of Crime. (Agatha Christie.)

 

Тема «Music». Вопросы:

20 баллов. The most popular New Year song in the U.S. (Jingle Bells.)

40 баллов. What is the name of the King of Rock-n-roll? (Elvis Presley.)

60 баллов. The annual prize in the U.S. for his achievements in music. (Grammy.)

80 баллов. Where did the Beatles come from? (Liverpool.)

100 баллов. «Аукцион». What is the Beatle's song in which they sing about transport? (Yellow Submarine.)

 

Тема «Sport». Вопросы:

20 баллов. The greatest Basketball player of all time, and his impact on the Chicago Bulls during the 1990s tells the story. (Michael Jordan)

40 баллов. «Счастливый случай». What is the popular English soccer team? (Manchester United.)

60 баллов The largest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the UK? (Wimbledon.)

80 баллов. What city hosted the 2002 Summer Olympic Games? (Sydney.)

100 баллов. A game in which a small white ball is rammed by sticks of various sizes and configurations to the holes which are located at the some distance from each other? (golf.)

 

Тема «Holidays». Вопросы:

20 баллов. The night of the year when ghosts, witches, and fairies are especially active. (Halloween)

 

40 баллов. What is the traditional meal on Thanksgiving Day? (Turkey.)

60 баллов. «Несчастный случай».. Each year the British spend around £503m on cards, flowers, chocolates and other gifts for this day. Name the holiday. (Valentine's Day)

80 баллов. Which holiday is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November? (Thanksgiving Day.)

100 баллов. On 21^st of April the British celebrate the birthday of this person. Who is it? (the Queen Elizabeth II)
